Svensk Form
www.svenskform.se (the Swedish Society of Craft and Design) is a membership society, the oldest society of design in the world, founded in 1845. Historically Svensk Form has always been working in the forefront of new ideas and visions in the design and craft and has initiated several movements and milestone exhibitions since its establishment, for instance, the large Stockholm Exhibition in 1930 and the noteworthy H-55 exhibition in Helsingborg in 1955. Today, Svensk Form is a 5,000-member society with its head office in Stockholm and regional offices and exhibition spaces across Sweden while Form (www.formmagazine.com), its design magazine for Nordic design and architecture, has been published since 1905. Beyond running two national design awards in Design S (www.design-s.se) and UNG (Young Swedish Design, www.ungsvenskform.se), Svensk Form focuses on international exchange and sustainable design of today.
