Shenzhen Industrial Design Profession Association (SIDA) is a non-profit organization founded in 2008, primarily supported by Shenzhen municipal government as a first-class industry association. Our members include institutions that provide services for industrial design chains and the relevant organizations such as design firms, branding manufacturers i.e. HUAWEI, ZTE, SKYWORTH, CHANGHONG, KONKA, FIYTA, TCL, etc., handicrafts and material suppliers, brand planning and marketing institutions, design schools, research institutions and so on. SIDA is the first Chinese industry organization that joins in the International Council of Societies of Industrial Design (Icsid).
SIDA works for propelling Shenzhen industrial designs forward by cooperating with industry and integrating with the rest of the world, facilitating industry innovation exchanges and cooperation, enhancing the capability of independent innovation of the traditional manufacturing industries, and speeding up the high-end international development of emerging industries.
SIDA regularly organizes events to invite foreign designers to Shenzhen to communicate with local designers and entrepreneurs, as well as carrying out workshops, design festival, design exhibitions such as China (Shenzhen) International Industrial Design Fair (www.szidf.com), and organizing Shenzhen companies to attend the design events abroad (e.g. Shenzhen Pavilion in 100% Design Show for 4 consecutive years during London Design Festival, and this year the pavilion has been upgraded to the national level, SIDA will represent and organize China Pavilion from now on, as well as Florence Design Week 2013, Munich Creative Business Week 2013, IDSA International Conference 2012, etc.. )
